Acadia Roofing took advantage of playing on their home field and captured silver medals at the Ladies Over-30 provincials played in Kentville during the past weekend. They came out on the short end of a 1-0 result to the Gaels (Halifax) in the championship final. They had defeated Supersonics 2-0 in the semi-final after finishing second in their division during round-robin play. Scores there saw the team defeat Somerset and Dynamos by 3-1 results while again falling 1-0 to the Gaels.
Falmouth Fillies narrowly lost to Supersonics 2-1 in the bronze game after dropping a 5-2 decision at the hands of the Gaels in the semi. During round-robin play the Fillies lost to the Supersonics 2-1, drew 1-1 with the Bluenosers and topped Paddy's Ravens by a 4-3 count.
Valley's other two reps did not advance past round-robin play. In addition to their loss to Acadia Roofing, Somerset lost 3-0 to the Gaels but outscored the Dynamos 3-2.
Paddy's other two results were losses to the Bluenosers (3-1) and the Supersonics (5-0)
